The Fireworks Alliance provides organizes members to fight onerus legislation and regulation, while providing financial support for legal action when necessary. The Fireworks Foundation

The Fireworks Foundation is a 501.3(c) charitable not-for-profit organization devoted to the preservation of the fireworks hobby. The primary purpose is to ensure, in perpetuity, the existence of hobbyist fireworks and clubs by 1) Funding the necessary legal defense, both civil and criminal, to protect and preserve our rights and privileges under existing law; 2) Funding, creating and developing teaching, outreach and training programs in pyrotechnic operator instructions and in seminars and publications on related topics; 3) Assisting fireworks clubs in time of need; and 4) Working with individuals, governmental entities, business entities and communities as needed to further the cause of hobbyist pyrotechnics.

Crackerjacks Fireworks Club

The Crackerjacks was established in 1976 as a fireworks club on the East Coast. Our members consist of both professional and hobbyist enthusiasts. We have 3 major shoots each year. We also get together for seminars, meetings, and parties. New members must be approved by the board, but everyone is welcome to apply.

Wisconsin Pyrotechnic Arts Guild

The WPAG holds at least four meetings or shoots a year. All or our meetings and shoots are held at a permanent shoot location in central Wisconsin about 20 miles east of Wausau. Format is generally a business meeting in the afternoon, followed by hands-on seminars in the early evening and concluding with several hours of open 1.4G and 1.3G shooting after dark. The WPAG also offers shooter training using the PGI’s Display Fireworks Shooter Certification course.

Heartland Pyrotechnics Assoc., Inc., (HPA) is a non-profit organization started in 1988 by individuals that love fireworks. HPA encourages the safe use, and legal use of fireworks through the sharing of knowledge. Membership is comprised of many facets - fireworks enthusiasts, professionals, and people that simply just enjoy watching fireworks. HPA operates mainly in Tri-State area of northern IN, but has shoots in southwest MI and the mid-northern IL areas. HPA offers a safe and legal way to display all types of fireworks.

The JPA is an international organization that is composed of minors who have their interests in fireworks and cannot be full adult members of the PGI. The JPA is associated with the PGI, and thus holds conventions at the same time and place as the PGI, where we present a fireworks display.

The Missouri Pyrotechnics Association (aka, MoPyro) was founded to give fireworks enthusiasts in Missouri and Illinois a local club. We promote the safe, sane and legal use of fireworks. The Michigan Pyrotechnic Arts Guild is a club largely comprised of shell builders and people that love to shoot fireworks. We usually have 5 shoots per year allowing members to bring and shoot fireworks. The club serves the Great Lakes Region.

PAT was formed in 1997 as an IRS certified Not-for Profit Texas Membership Corporation. We presently offer training and state approved signoff programs in the use of 1.3G fireworks as well as family involvement with 1.4G material. We hope to soon have a Texas manufacturer’s license to be able to build within our club. We currently meet 3 times a year Near Houston, Dallas-Ft Worth, and Temple, TX.

Western New York Pyrotechnic Assoc.

WNYPA was formed in 1992 and incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in 1995. The organization is composed of shooters from various companies, distributors, manufacturers, importers, display company owners, and people who “just love fireworks”! Our main objectives are to teach, to learn and to have fun, safely. Our meetings are held the second Thursday of the Month, usually in Orchard Park, NY. The Western Pyrotechnic Assoc. or WPA is a non-profit group of fireworks professionals and hobbyists. We are banded together to promote the enjoyment of fireworks of all types and encourage their safe and legal use. We have two gatherings per year: Winter Blast over President’s Day Weekend and Do-It by the River in October. Currently, both events are held in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

National Fireworks Association

The National Fireworks Association is an organization composed of individuals and companies dedicated to the safe use of fireworks. Formed in 1992 through the foresight of President Emeritus Cam Starr, the NFA goal is to to protect the rights of individuals and companies to utilize and enjoy fireworks. We represent individuals and industry to the various Federal and State agencies which regulate fireworks. Safety is a key concern. We hold a seat on the NFPA Committee for pyrotechnics and ensure that reasonable regulations to protect those that utilize fireworks allow the freedom to pursue the pyrotechnic art.
