The 2009 National Fireworks Association Expo was in Fond du lac, Wisconsin. The crew from Wolverine Fireworks Display of Michigan put this dandy off in remembrance of September 11th. Wow! To-date, we have never seen a finale that puts this amount of displays shells in the air!

Mason City, Iowa
The Friday night display at the PGI 2009 in Mason City, Iowa was created and fired by Wolverine of Michigan in memory of Tim Dabrowski. Beautiful! Great job to all the people who made it happen!

Derby Days 2009 Fireworks Display
Redmond, WA
We shot this fireworks display for the City of Redmond Derby Days during the summer of 2009. This display is a perfect example of what can be done on a small foot print. This display was sandwiched between the Redmond City Hall, a retirement facility and the City Police Department. By using products that produce minimal fallout and taking extra precautions during setup, we are able to provide an up-close-and-personal fireworks display that will provide plenty of Wow-Factor.

First Night Tacoma New Years 2009
Downtown – Tacoma, WA
Happy New Years! Another successful First Night to remember. The straight 7.5 hours of rain leading up to midnight made things a bit interesting from a pyro perspective. However, the evening rallied great attendance and noticeably more events then past years taking place throughout the downtown area.
What a way to kick-off the New Years… Our first display of the year where we transmitted timecode via a mobile radio from the sound stage located across the street from the parking structure. In the past we always used a hardwire from the sound system to the firing system. Timecode is an audible tone that is used to measure time and ensure the firing system is in sync with the music being played.
The video below was shot from atop the LeRoy Jewelers building (elevated above the main stage area) as opposed to last years video shot from the ground level. Thanks LeRoy!

Trolley Square – Salt Lake City, UT
Trolley Square 100th Anniversary! A tight site to say the least; 75’ from the mall in one direction and 75’ in the other direction was an open city street with spectators and parked cars. It was for this reason we used all 1.4G items with no aerial breaks (see cue sheet with the site layout below). Also, this was our first attempt at videoing a fireworks display in HD and have posted a 1440 x 1080 video below.
Salt Lake is a beautiful city and the Trolley Square is historically preserved series of brick buildings that have been retrofitted into numerous shops and restaurants. To visit their website and see some of the historical pictures click here: Trolley Square History

Evel Knievel Memorial Fireworks Display – Butte, MT
The following is a video of the memorial fireworks display we shot for Evel Knievel’s funeral on December 9, 2007 in Butte, MT. Evel was the greatest motorcycle daredevil of his time and will be deeply missed. For this reason Wolverine West felt it was appropriate to donate this memorial display of red, white and blue with plenty of salutes.
