The video below is using three propane flame units for an arena football game. Note the smoke in this video is NOT from the propane flame units but rather was intentionally created to enhance the lasers that were projected just prior to this portion of the video. These units work fine either indoors or outdoors and produce virtually no smoke and a fair amount of heat.

During the player introductions we fire concussion mortars from the ceiling catwalks and spray gerbs from the scoreboard. These are pictures from on the way up to load the concussion mortars.
